A Sample of Production Benefits from CFI
Benefits for Distributors, Producers, Directors, Writers, Agents, Managers, Publicists, Stylists and Casting Directors
SITUATION:
In today’s fast paced financial and development environments, a single oversight or underdeveloped product can wreck havoc with your future investments. The imagery you fail to investigate will be the image most likely to come back and kick you in the behind. Letting product go into manufacturing without as much audience confidence as possible is too big a development risk for any producer. ‘Just guessing’ is just not enough to justify the huge monetary involvements required in today’s market place. Adjustments to the product have to be made BEFORE production begins -- not once the audience has seen it.
After production is complete, the marketing process begins. If marketing is approached in the wrong formulation, the project will flounder and require an injection of additional resources to turn it around. The most profitable audiences will fail to materialize if the image projected by the project is inconsistent with their expectations.
Some projects are even better off unsupported, and saving your resources for more qualified projects is a wiser choice. Without the ability to evaluate potential audience reaction to storyline imagery and its relation to characterization data projecting the player’s essence and archetype, the future of a project can be difficult to decide or even debate.
SOLUTION:
Having a verifiable understanding of what the audience will perceive, as compared to what they actually expect from talent’s performances, will tell you whether you are on the right track or not. Evaluating the screen essence imagery of the talents cast before production commences will give you the power and control you need to make improvements or adjustments to the script or to casting before you lose lots of money. A simple archetypal and essences/set evaluation can save you hours of headaches, rewrites, conflicts, and poor ticket sales -- and give you the confidence to proceed aggressively toward expansive media exposure and pre-sales leverage.
After performances are produced, promotion and publicity of the product becomes the emphasis. Understanding what is going to happen in your audience before they get their hands on it gives you the opportunity to cover your losses or increase your profits, whichever is found to be the case.
If you’re a support team member, this information is essential to organizing your own efforts more appropriately and productively. Knowing the future potential of a project before it begins shooting or after it has finished shooting is key to staying two steps ahead of the rest of the market. This data can be achieved by requesting either one of the following;
1. Pre-production Player Evaluation (PPE) -- CFI can be called in at any time (Saturday evening through Friday evening) for consultation at any level of production. Of all their advantages, requesting an evaluation of the chemistry/archetype/essence/set (CAES™ Evaluation) during casting or directly thereafter is an extremely important aspect of imagery.
In order to prevent inadvertent talent derailment of your film’s potential and profitability, you will want to take advantage of this quick and accurate casting evaluation immediately.
As an outside source, CFI can provide you with a specifically objective second opinion that can insure your creative investment’s future chances for success. Its small cost and easy implementation make it the most highly prized tool in the chest.
(And)
2. Post-production Audience Projections (PAP) -- Once a film is ready for distribution, you can request CFI to evaluate and verify the chemistry/archetype/essence/set (CAES™ Evaluation) of the players and the storylines within your production. We will provide you (and any other support teams you wish) with the following data comprising;
(1) Projections of audience attendance levels, (2) Verifications of player chemistry, (3) Explanations of the probable complications or successful results, and (4) Recommendations possible for changes and/or future developments.
Armed with this dynamic information, you can plan your next moves.
Benefits for Studios, Producers, Directors, Writers, Agents, Managers, Publicists and Casting Directors
SITUATION:
You’ve got sexy box office stars about the same age, and each one with their own verified star power and charisma. So, you put them together for the first time in your next picture. You’re expecting romantic fireworks but it turns out more like sibling rivalry or a parent/child reunion. So on your next project, you cast your power star with a complete unknown because its really only a crime thriller -- and low and behold -- all the critics can talk about is the flaming hot chemistry between those senior and junior detectives who never even got close enough to kiss -- but still upstaged the famous thespian playing the catholic school girl mass murderer.
You shake your head a lot because you just can’t seem to predict ‘it’ with any reliability. You know your talent has the look...but just whom should you choose to cast them with? (Just the fact that their counterpart is incredibly gorgeous or is very popular won’t guarantee sexual chemistry between them.) And if they have the wrong essences for the parts to begin with, their romantic relationship is wasted on audiences who know when they’re getting bluffed. Finding the right combination of essences is tough enough, but finding the right combination of essences that can create absolute chemistry seems impossible...but yet it happens. All you need is to understand how it actually happens and then you could accomplish it every single time.
SOLUTION:
In order to really excite the audience and increase the talent’s sexual desirability and financial viability, you need a way to create sexual chemistry or charismatic partnering before casting is completed. You need a scientific formula that can find the dramatic companion of any actor, and a casting system that can succeed in choosing the pairs of talents which will ignite sparks in the audience’s hearts. You need a system that can tell you which pairs of actors can generate heat...and which partnerships cannot.
You need audience recognized and verified, graphically tangible evidence of a player’s personal characteristics and screen imagery so you can select the most appropriate talent for each part (whether the talent understands it or not).
To increase your influence on casting throughout the industry, you need to know exactly what the public believes about that talent; (regardless of what their management team or the production crew thinks), so that you can get that talent cast successfully according to the audience’s eyes. These purposes can be accomplished by implementing the following applications;
3. Sexual Chemistry Orchestration (SCO) -- As difficult as it is to believe this...it is still very true and we prove it all the time. Screen essence imaging can identify exactly which talents create chemistry together and which do not. Through archetype/essence/set dynamics, we can select the most charismatic or romantic pairing for any actor you choose before production commences. On your own, the odds are fifty-fifty or less. With CFI, the results are guaranteed.
This is the key -- specific archetypes are more intense and relate most interestingly when they are paired with their charismatic opposite (for as we all know ‘opposites attract’). In combinations of diametrically opposed essences and essence sets (as dictated by the audience), their congruency to each other perpetually generates the sparks and intense interactivity. This is the formulation required for dramatic sexual matchmaking, dynamic buddy companionships or comedic partnerships. It’s simple if you know the actor’s archetype and have the CFI audience response profiles to verify essence/sets.

4. Certified Archetype / Essence / Set Casting (CAES Certification™) -- Having the opportunity to acquire the verified screen essence imagery at every level of every talent under consideration for casting is one of the most important applications in the process. This unique application is accomplished through four different imaging aspects, each one completely certifiable and secure.
(1) When any talent has completed the screen essence imaging process, we certify which headshot gives the photographic appearance closest to their real time personal appearance; and which shot also exposes their audience validated essences with set and cinematic characteristics the most acutely. This gives you the assurance that the talent who shows up to audition will actually look like its own photo, and guarantees you the same personality attributes in your office that you saw in the headshot.
(2) The talent’s own archetype which we identify during the process is cinematically certified, registered into our database, and encoded on their headshot. This way you have certified archetype data to cast them by, and the information necessary to cast them next to their most appropriate companions. If there is ever any question about their certification, simply contact CFI for verification.
(3) The essence set of the talent, which was derived from their certified archetype/essences/set (CAES™) screen imaging profiles, is also registered and encoded on the headshot so that you can use this information to define their casting and position them the most charismatically. If there is ever any question about their set, or positioning it correctly, simply contact CFI for assistance.
(4) The talent’s essence profiles are also certified and registered in CFI’s database so that any questions as to their attribute's availability are quickly decided. When you think an actor has a quality you need for the production, you can refer to the database to distinguish if the audience thinks so too. Or if you have a tough choice between two competent actors, you can check their profiles and determine which has the essences most appropriate for the role.
Casting time and energy can be reduced by an easy 50% when you inspect the headshot for archetype and use the CFI script comparison to eliminate that half of the headshots which don’t fit the right archetype. The remaining contestants can be sifted through even quicker by scanning their essence/set certifications and tossing out the obviously inappropriate.
CFI’s screen essence imaging process can save you half your casting expenses while at the same time doubling the quality of your casting. When electronic casting is fully expanded, you’ll be able to instruct your computer to match casting breakdowns for archetype and the key essence or attribute words found included in every certified talent’s profile. It will be simple as one mouse click after receiving the breakdowns over the net.
If you are working with actors without certified profiles, we can rush them through the imaging process and have their archetype essences/set profiles available to you within as little as twenty-four hours. Currently our computer database only contains a select amount of certified/archetype/essences/set (CAES™) screen imaging profiles. Over time, we will have every talent who ever wished to complete the imaging process in the file and we will have it electronically available for viewing by any casting director who is authorized by the talent’s representatives.
Benefits for Studios, Producers, Directors, Agents, Managers, Publicists and Casting Directors
SITUATION:
A fresh new actor with an unverified business acumen is extremely excited about you representing them -- but you’re not just going to jump off a cliff and risk your time and money on an unproven unknown. Just because they look good to you doesn’t automatically mean the audience is going to see the same exact thing in them that you do...or that the audience is going to be impressed at all.
They might look good to your staff and they may have been referred to you, or they may be somebody’s relative, or you spotted them in a showcase -- but how do you know the audience is interested enough in this person for you to consider this talent a worthy investment for your valuable time and resources? And how much interest is there, and exactly what kind of interest in your talent does that audience share? Just what is it about your boy that makes them want to talk about him over and over again with their friends?
In learning more about their screen image and cinematic potential from the audience's point of view, you also really need to know if this talent has enough business acumen to stay on the course. Talent needs to precisely focus all their energy and attention on the track to succeed in this business, but they’re new. You’re not sure if they have the strength of character or the inner quality needed to stay excited about their careers, and remain loyally involved with you over long periods of time.
SOLUTION:
To know a talent’s natural attraction with an audience, their true essence and the correct archetypal imagery they need before they make a first impression on the industry is crucial to establishing an excellent career. Validating the amount of intrigue they have with filmgoers is critical to deciding whether or not you should bring them into the fold. Understanding their natural archetype and essence/set before you spend any time grooming them is vital to efficient representation and designing film careers.
Normally, you just go with your feelings or some outside subjective opinions, but now you can make better acquisitions using your subjective feelings hand-in-hand with objective data and logical referrals derived from media talent marketing evaluations, scientific imaging and classic storyline classifications. With screen essences imaging, you can validate the viability of talent with both your guts AND hard data -- all at the same time.
You may also wish to know the level of integrity or character available within your potential talent. Things like dependability, responsibility and loyalty are handy to know BEFORE you invest your efforts, time or money into their new career. You need a way to investigate their personality and discern their capacity for maintaining their commitment to film work and at the same time, research their internal essences and screen image potential. These essential properties can be observed by two talent delineators;
5. Audience Intrigue Verification (AIV) -- Using various additions to audience response surveys, the screen imaging process can quantifiably score four classifications of audience intrigue and inherent attractiveness to the talent. These four quantities are;
(1) The amount of attention a talent can generate, (2) The type of attention it creates, (3) The strength of the attention created, and (4) The longevity of the audience’s attentiveness to the talent.
Before you invest hundreds of thousands in screen players, investigate just how interesting they are to the audience first. The kind of a draw they have on filmgoers may not be the correct type or amount you had in mind to have in-house. How easy a talent is to get along with would be the next consideration.
(And)
6. Industry Acumen Verification (IAV) -- Beside the typical screen essences examined by industry developers for character and imagery, there are others which can be investigated as well. The integral business essences of a talent are surveyable through audience response profiling and personal inventory techniques. CFI can provide you with scaled inventories of a player’s work ethic, professional character and personal integrity so you can choose whether or not they have the right acumen to be included in your company.
Having players you can trust and depend upon is as important as having players the audience can trust and depend upon too. Because all screen imaging information is strictly protected, not even the talent will know themselves as well as you do (unless of course you want them to). Fortunately, this type of selection by myographic personality discrimination is still legal. Benefits for Studios, Producers, Directors, Writers, Agents, Managers and Casting Directors
SITUATION:
Before a production is established, you sift through volumes of submissions in an effort to find the right mix of creative scripting and quality talent. Sometimes understanding just the right mix is a lottery, a shot in the dark or maybe a gut instinct. Most deliberations with staff on the matter are efforts of futility...lacking a provable formula or methodology for creative accuracy.
Without an acute application for successful correlation of a talent type to a character type, your guess was pretty much as good as the next. (In this business, it is said you are only as good as your last guess was.) What you think might work sometimes does...and then sometimes it doesn’t. Getting help sorting through the myriad of faces and storylines trying to find the right combination or chemistry can be a frustrating and confusing job, especially without a true definition of what actually works and what doesn’t with the interaction between actors, the audiences, the storyline and archetypal design.
Some actors or scripts get thrown away when they should have been pounced on...and some get accepted when they should have been run through the shredder. Who do you keep and who do you kill...especially when everything else seems equal and there are so many others waiting to step in and replace them?
Which kind of actor in which kind of script is exactly right for the audience? If you’re unsure of exactly who or what and where it works, there’s a better way to decide your projects future than flipping quarters or hiring relatives. There is a way that you can intelligently justify and perfectly validate every scripting and casting decision.
SOLUTION:
What you need is an outside consultation with a concrete application and an audience verifiable formulation to assist you in coordinating, correlating and appropriating the right script with the right talent. You need to bring in a system you can incorporate into your decision making channels that will explain the parameters of choices considered and will spotlight their answers and detail the options available. A direct and objective consultation with an unbiased outside source to quickly assist you in establishing a process of clearly definable guidelines...with exacting equations for solutions concerning the artistic questions at hand;
7. Storyline Archetype Examination (SAE) -- Having a lighted pathway with objective reasoning to guide your creative choices can prevent the continuous subjectivity of the film making process from getting on your nerves. Knowing that out there exists concrete formulations in good storytelling and audience-enforced parameters for correct casting, can help you run the course more gracefully than ever before.
CFI provides archetypal consultation on ideas, storylines, finished scripts and casting suggestions. We use the two fundamental archetypes to evaluate context -- and audience verified profiles to suggest important content. With a background in character essences and audience perception, we can assist a creator or producer with audience validating edits, additional story chemistry and unique charismatic devices.
There are so many small but powerful dynamics which can be overlooked or passed by those so close to the story. Consulting with an outside, unbiased, technical resource, carrying a bag full of audience mesmerizing chemistry can forge true charismatic motion picture energy.
(And)
8. Talent Roster Organization (TRO) -- We isolate and identify problems within your talent pools and show you ways to turn them into solutions. After profiling the majority of your talents with either archetype, essence/set or both, CFI can collectively analyze the strengths and weaknesses in your lineup and suggest improvements. With the data collected and analyzed, additions or subtractions to various portions of your talent stable is a breeze. New players can be processed before they enter and thereby be glorified or discouraged, whichever the CAES™ may be.
An excess of one talent type or the other can limit your expansion into the marketplace and stereotype your image as a specific provider of talent. Yet for some in the industry, that is exactly what is preferred. In that case, we identify those players with lesser potential than the core talent average.
In any agency, there can four problematic situations;
(1) SELF-DIRECTIONAL Talents can desire to perform in one direction when they truly need to follow another.
(2) NON-DIRECTIONAL Players can present a fantastic image on the outside but lack that substance on the inside.
(3) MIS-DIRECTIONAL Talents can come with a background in one image when they actually have untapped potential to excel at another.
(4) OMNI-DIRECTIONAL Players can have what is believed to be a non-definable image...or they think they can play anything.
Screen image evaluations can distinguish any of these talent errors and rectify the situation quickly with image clarity and specific directional guidance. With greater clarity, your company can choose wisely and proficiently to reconstruct its catalog, and match the product currently being sought throughout the industry.
We can calculate your imagery desires or that image which has already been established in your company or department, and suggest specific eliminations or rearrangements among talents under your control. Any fear you may have of vanquishing someone who is yet to blossom will vanish if you deduce through their own audience responsiveness that this pretty little unopened flower you feed is really just a weed or a rare unseen species.
Your faith and belief is more wisely focused on appropriately certified talent, and channeled into audience validated contenders with verifiable profitability.
Whichever direction you wish to journey, we’ll assist you in clearing any undesirables and removing mis-matched talents in favor of increasing your acquisition of clients who are best suited for success and creative profitability.
Benefits for Studios, Producers, Agents, Managers, Publicists, Stylists and Casting Directors
SITUATION:
Your staff or associates came from many different backgrounds and that’s great diversity with which to acquire product -- yet that quirky divergence causes other problems when you’re all trying to disseminate product. The divergence interferes with the cohesive communication. In creative talent imaging dissemination...that can be deadly.
Sure, it’s easy to gather the troops together and have everyone feed many ideas into the project, but it’s nearly impossible when you’re finished to get them all into the same exact mind frame for sending one finished concept out onto the track. Everyone who had a different idea for going in will tend to have different ideas for coming out. For a talent’s image to be disseminated in a wide variety of concepts serves only to confuse the audience and gets that talent summarily ignored.
Your own team has to work with several other teams associated to the talent in order to strategize a single career path that will lead the talent most successfully and expediently. This divergence of associated creative capacity is also difficult to maintain clear and cohesive imagery with. It seems like everybody is speaking a different language, and everybody has a different formula with which to arrive at the imagery outcome.
SOLUTION:
You need to educate your staff and associates in cohesive communication and get their outputs focused toward the same creative path. They need to understand the direction and formulas you have selected to enhance the talent imagery -- and they need to coordinate their diverse efforts through a common language and collective conception of the track.
The supporting teams surrounding your creative talents need to be consolidated, coordinated and organized properly. They need you to provide them with audience validated intelligent data and verifiable details which they can also use to further the talent’s development. They need a consistent, confidentially professional data source that will always provide them with the current details required to evolve and promote your talent’s imaging, and advance it in concert with all other support teams accordingly. The following two applications fill this need;
9. In-house Staff Guidance (ISG) -- The full advantages of screen imagery processes are most beneficial when your whole staff can incorporate it into your talent as proficiently as possible. To do that, they should be educated as to the intricacies of screen essencery and imaging design, and versed in the terminology as much as affordable.
CFI offers group training seminars in the sociological science and dynamic art of screen essence imaging. Training includes cinematic archetype, essence/set profile, and image analysis certification. Advanced training includes charismatic image production and sexual chemistry programming. Instruction sets are tailored to fit company needs and can be as primary as staff training in utilization of just a few of the imaging products CFI produces, to profiling and producing every in-house screen imagery product themselves.
Most importantly, this application provides the benefit of staffers educated in archetype and essencery who can correctly communicate the screen image process effectively among themselves or with outside support teams and associates. When your staff can explicitly discuss the parameters of the process, your efficiency and creative profitability will soar.
Training can be limited to company leadership and senior staff or extended to creative staff and support personnel. Company talent may be included in staff seminars or they can be instructed in outside groups. Private talent sessions in or one-on-one forums are also available.

10. Multi-level Support Coordination (MSC) -- Coordination of strategic imaging efforts is clearly one of our top priorities, as it is for any professional agency, management, casting or production enmity. CFI provides studios, producers, directors, casting coordinators and other authorized entertainment components with appropriate imagery communications and pre-authorized accessibility to CAES™ profiling.
We help you interact with other producers by guiding them in screen essence imagery so that your efforts may be more fully utilized across the spectrum of screen imaging opportunities.
When your talent’s employment or promotion requires verification of their audience’s perceptions or predilections, we are there to certify that information.
When a packaging opportunity requires essence imaging data on another talent, we are there to dispense that data to pre-authorized recipients.
When other organizations require assistance in understanding the prerequisites or internal elements of the process, we are there to inform or instruct.
Benefits for Studios, Producers, Directors, Agents, Managers, Publicists and Casting Directors
SITUATION:
Besides the creative support teams working with you, there are those to whom you must promote and convince as to the value of your talent. Studios, producers, directors, casting directors and media need to be persuaded towards the imaging desirability of your talent. The competition is fierce and the scramble for attention is hectic. The time available on the pitching mound is limited and putting the most developed and intelligent spin on the product is critical. Finding a way to conquer the competition and surpass the field is vitally important.
The pressure to professionally represent yourself, your firm or your talent is tremendous. Every time you present a new talent to a consumer of creative merchandise, it is probably the one solitary chance you have to make an important first impression with the talent and impress your peers. Developing the corporate imagery of your own company is as crucial as developing the talent imaging in your creative products.
SOLUTION:
Operating from a point of strength to advance your talents and overcome your competition is guaranteed with the application of greater intelligence than your competitor can acquire. Knowledge of your talent’s cinematic qualities and their reputation with the audience is the powerful proof you need to rise above the competition and impress industry leaders with their charismatic and dramatic powers. Having the data from the screen imaging process in your arsenal gives you a tremendous edge over those agents or producers who don’t. Knowing how to communicate this information clearly and confidently with industry leadership -- in concert with CFI certification and confidential dissemination -- is the quality solution.
You can use the same tools to enhance your company’s image as you would any other image. As with talent imaging, the key to a good first impression is to communicate to your peers in the same way they think you will, but do it clearly and engagingly. Knowing what your audience thinks and expects of you would show you how to enhance your imagery and project a confident, creative and charismatic organization. Enhancing the image of your company is necessary for increased creative credibility and authoritative influence in the business. The following applications provide those important values;
11. Talent Image Dissemination (TID) -- Since the development (or inputting) of screen imaging data in talent is only as valuable as your ability to output or disperse that data; we offer our assistance in providing you expert direction and guidance for effectual communication of your talent’s image profile to prospective facilitators.
Sometimes talent expedition requires you to teach others about the qualities and potentialities of your talent. We can assist you in the placement, presentation and publishing of the knowledge and creative possibilities originating from the outcome of a talent’s screen image profile. With a few small details or explanations from us, you can elaborate and aggrandize their unique image into every avenue of talent exhibition or activity.
(And)
12. Corporate Image Cultivation (CIC) -- Cultivating your image into a powerful business commodity is essential to working with others effectively. The clout required in the entertainment industry is especially enormous. Knowing what kind of image your company has with others is the first step in developing and polishing, or constructing new additions to your image. You can’t understand which images you could go to...if you don’t really understand exactly which imagery you’ve been coming from.
The same imaging process employed with a single talent can be the same imaging process activated for a complex corporation. The principle is exactly the same -- knowing how you are observed by others, will provide you the intimate parameters demanded to constructively orchestrate their future observations.
How they see you will dictate how they communicate with you. Knowing what they see will show you what they’re communicating and show you how to manipulate that communication effectively and orchestrate it to your company's greatest advantage.
In the ‘Art of War’, battlefield intelligence is a prerequisite. We’ll help you gather that intelligence and evaluate its corporate contents. The data will empower you to add improvements to your professional business profile...and polish your imagery more precisely.
